About Molten Visuals

Molten Visuals is the home of Nicholas Bourey's Glass Art. Nicholas is a Tech Worker by day and a weekend warrior Glass Artist. He took up glass blowing in 2011 after attending Burning Man for the first time. While there he was awe struck by all the amazing art and decided he wanted to explore art in some meaningful way.

Deciding on what kind of art Nicholas wished to create was tricky. He knew traditional art like painting wasn't for him. And being technically minded he wanted something along those lines to challange himself. He felt that glass blowing was something worth presuiung.

To get started he took a single night class at Diablo Glass School in Boston Mass. After finding out he enjoyed it, he started taking more classes on a weekly basis and let himself get absorbed in it. After a few years though he had to put down his pipe as work took him on an exciting new journey.

In December of 2013 the start up he was working at was acquired and he had to relocate to San Francisco. It was a huge change, and work was pretty demanding. He took classes here and there when he could but eventually had to stop due to constant scheduling conflicts.

Now at the end of the pandemic Nicholas was able to afford a small studio setup and take up his pipe again with renewed vigour.
